Why did you choose to do altitude training?
Looking to gain any performance advantage possible.
What do you like about it?
It is a session I dread as I know it will be taxing, but the feeling afterwards to knowing how it is benefiting my training / racing makes it all worthwhile.
What method (passive or active) did you choose to use and why?
Active – feels like I am working hard and the benefits accruing immediately.
How has it impacted your training, racing or health?
Stronger, fitter, faster (for my age). Altitude training also provides confidence to push that bit harder.
Was there anything that surprised you that maybe you were not expecting to come from the sessions you did?
Ability to handle increased load and recover from this load is very noticeable.
